Here is the feedback and questions we received after we showed the class our prelim. This process also prepares us for when we premiere our finished music video and we will need to take constructive criticism from the audience.
The genre we chose is jazz/ soul. We felt somewhere modern and contemporary is not a suitable environment for our music video therefore we are looking for places for natural and relaxed as it fits with the genre more. Practical locations are important as we do not want to be travelling across London for a few seconds of footage therefore we have decidied to try find nice locations in the local area. One location we have considered was Hilly Fields in Enfield as it has many scenic features. When researching jazz themed albums it was clear to see the recurring theme of dark colours, only occasionally were bright, vibrant colours used. I believe this is due to the style of music as you would associate brighter colours with pop or rap music as it is more fast paced and lively. When creating a digipak i will stick to the theme of simplistic and restrained colour scheme as it fits with my song choice as it is slow paced and soul-ful opposed to more modern music.
