A2 Music Videos

After a difficulty in filming we decided to adjust the storyline slightly, my character will now be seen with other girls rather than the original girl we planned to film. This problem occurred because one of the cast wasn't able to come to a filming session so we had to improvise, however i feel it has worked for the best. Adding extra characters to the narrative allows us to create more footage in order to fill up the whole 3 minutes of music.

After filming our first scene we learned the importance of having a variety of locations, only having 3 would not be enough for our music video to reach its full potential. To make the narrative clearer to the audience we have thought of extra locations to film at. We are planning to use Broomfield Park, Tinseltown and a Starbucks. Also we intend to have some shots walking down a scenic road possibly around 5:30pm when the sun is going down.   

Despite not fully having everything planned we are going ahead with our first filming session this Sunday. Originally we was planning on filming throughout the whole day starting at Ally Pally then going to Oxford Street then finally filming the hot tub scene at our group-mate Ellie's house. However we are going to do further planning and research before we go to Ally Pally and Central London. Overall we feel all 3 locations will tie in great with our theme.  

After comparing a variety of band names we have finally decided to call it IVY18. We thought of this name when looking at other artists albums names, our main inspiration was Adele as she uses her name in her albums follwed by her age. Ivy is also the character who Serine is playing and she's 18 hence the name IVY18.

Our song choice was in the jazz/ soul genre and we are trying to create a romantic narrative. Some ideas we have that we think will fit into our video are shooting at a shisha bar and and Enfield Playing fields.      

Creating music videos form scratch is undoubtably difficult therefore we have been looking for further ideas on Youtube looking at other artists in a similar genre and music videos with themes and ideas similar to ours. Looking at other music videos can help us make ours look more professional hence why it is important to do research.  

As winter and Christmas are approaching we are considering using the Xmas lights that are in Oxford Street for our music video as we feel it will work well with our theme of love and relationships.
