A2 Music Videos

After developing the idea of having Serine on stage lip syncing we asked Enfield Grammar School for permission to film on their stage and they agreed. Furthermore we used a light specialist to set up spot lights, this allowed us to alter the lighting on stage and make it look a lot more exciting for viewers as it is not dark and dull.   This is what we was able to create. This was our inspiration. I feel we re-created this scene from a jazz music video very well.

In music videos it is very common to see shots that don't directly link to the narrative of the video yet still provide a purpose of making the visuals look professional and subtly break up the continuous storyline, this is a called a cut away shot. As we have planned a narrative for our production we also developed an idea for a cut away shot, This will be Serine on a stage with high-key lighting, i also feel this will fit well with our genre choice of jazz.  

Last Sunday, as a group we filmed the first bit of our music video. We went to Ellie's house to film the hot-tub and the picnic scene, they went well however the lighting was a major issue. Due to the time of year it got dark very quickly meaning we had to make sure we filmed efficiently without wasting time. We eventually got organised and we feel the filming went very well.
